In DS3, tho: Parry Dagger was never THAT good in DS3, it was decent but not that good. It has slower windup before parry frames (which is why I never liked it personally, just like rapiers) you are better off using a small shield instead, which would be the next best tool for parry, probably the best in PvE since it's a shield.kuros8000 • 5 yr. ago. actually the rapier is the only one really useful in both attack and parry departments: only first weapons and curved swords can also both attack and parry in left hand. Fist L1 is terrible but the parry is the best by far.
